Yonex

History

Surprisingly, this company started as a producer of wooden floats for fishing nets in 1946. They made their first wooden tennis racquets in 1957 and really launched its tennis racquet business in 1969 with its first aluminum racquet.

Badminton is where they have dominated. Starting with shuttlecocks it quickly took over the sport with cutting edge aluminum and then graphite racquets. It now is the clear leader in this game.

Yonex Tennis Racquets

When asking what are Yonex rackets known for, the answer lies in their willingness to embrace innovative materials and racquet designs. The square-ish shaped "Isometric" racquets were immediately embraced by pros for amazing control despite huge power.

Yonex Tennis Racquet Technology

The benefit of the isometric shape is the increased sweet spot and giving an extra 7% effective hitting area. A large sweet spot means the wrist and elbow suffer less muscle fatigue. It also means even beginners and intermediates hit with more spin and power.

The stability of a Yonex tennis racquet is comes from their Hyper-MG graphite construction on account of its strength. The light weight allows the frame to speed through the ball at contact.

The new Aero Fin designed frame allows faster swing speeds where the ball flies off the strings with more spin when you compare it to other racquets. More spin will help control the ball.

Their shockless grommet system reduces vibrations and will protect the wrist, forearm, and elbow at impact. This allows the competitor to play the game with their best experience possible.

Yonex Badminton Racquets

The popularity of Yonex can be seen by the fact that 80% of competitive players use Yonex as their racquets. It is clearly the preferred choice of professionals.

Pro Endorsers

Almost every player who plays badminton, has used Yonex in some form or the other. Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Carolina Marin all have been world number one and each of them played with Yonex.

Technology

The most exotic graphite frames are exceptionally light yet stiff. The frame also features an amazingly thin profile. The improved throat design allows the racquet to speed through air resistance allowing superb maneuverability and power.

Not only are its racquets used widely in tournaments, but their shuttlecocks are the industry standard.
