Nike Golf

Nike products made with recycled polyester are made from recycled plastic bottles that are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment. Recycled polyester reduces waste and reduces carbon emissions by approximately 30% compared to virgin polyester.

Nike Golf History

Nike entered the golf industry back in 1984, with its first golf shoe, a football cleat that was converted into a golf shoe. Apparel soon followed in 1986, but some would argue that Nike Golf didn’t actually get its start until 1996, when a young Tiger Woods joined the team. The following year the world saw Tiger, at age 21, win the Masters by 12 strokes, wearing what would become his signature look…a red Nike shirt, black hat and black pants. Due to an overwhelming consumer demand for Tiger’s shirt, Nike designed the first Tiger Woods logo known as the “yin and yang,” and the TW line was born.

The continued popularity of the brand resulted in a new strategy and Nike Golf relaunched the entire brand with a new identity for the division including a new logo – the Nike shield, a full line of stylish apparel, the signing of Grace Park, their first female athlete, and an introduction into hardgoods. Always one to seek out new talent, Nike Golf continued to add to their stable of young Tour players with the signing of Michele Wie, Anthony Kim, Rory McIlroy, Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka.

Nike remains one of the most prominent apparel and footwear brands in the game. As with everything Nike, you will find style, uniqueness, outstanding quality and a greater commitment to making sustainable, comfortable performance gear for all levels of athletes.
