Babolat Products
Since its transformation from just-a-string manufacturer to the formation of its first racquet, the company, as of today, is involved in making various products in multiple sports.
The company produces racquets, shoes, balls, grips, strings, apparel, bags, and accessories in tennis, badminton and, padel range.
Babolat Sponsorships
After launching the racquets range in 1994, the company needed someone to boost its sales, which happened from the hands of Carlos Moya who was the first player to win a Grand Slam with Babolat racquets.
After that, to increase the sales of the brand, the company decided to give the racquets to players on the junior circuit. So, some unknown names, at that time, were given racquets. Those unknown names include Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick and Kim Clijsters who were given free Babolat racquets. After that, these unknown players went on to win the Grand Slam after the Grand Slam which ultimately made Babolat a hugely demanded brand and the sales skyrocketed.
Now, Babolat sponsors many young, energetic, passionate, and emerging as well as senior players on the tour. Few of the players who are sponsored by Babolat; Dominic Thiem, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Fabio Fognini, and Benoit Paire.
Babolat Tennis Racquets
Babolat Pure Drive (which was called Babolat Soft Drive at that time) was the first racquet that was used by Carlos Moya. He was the first player to win with the Babolat racquets. 1998, Moya also became the first player to win a Grand Slam with Babolat racquets.
Babolat racquets are mainly known for their heavy topspin feature which allows players to involve in long rallies and burst their opponent out. Apart from the spin feature, the advanced impressive technologies have made it simply one of the best brands in tennis right now.
In 2012, Babolat launched a new technology called Play&Connect with which a player can assess stats onto a Wi-Fi-connected screen. Rafael Nadal played French Open that year with Play&Connect racquet which he won by defeating Novak Djokovic in the final. It was his 7th French Open title.
Babolat & Rafael Nadal
Rafael Nadal has played with Babolat throughout his whole career and what is the result? He has won 19 Grand Slams including a record 12 French Open titles so far, and is in no mood to stop at that number. He is second in the race of most Grand Slam titles behind Roger Federer who is just one Grand Slam ahead.
